Since establishing in 2013 Wei Consulting and MINT EDITION has grown to become one of the most successful marketing agencies specialising in the Chinese consumer market sector. 2015 has seen the agency grow from strength to strength. Here is a recap of some of the year’s biggest highlights:

Wei Consulting created and managed a successful Chinese New Year engagement campaign for CapCo Covent Garden. A multi-store campaign utilising a “Year of the Sheep” hunt reaching over 3.5m consumers on social media, obtaining 739 reposts, as well as multiple sales for 11 participating brands including: United Nude, Galleria Melissa, Penhaligons, Hackett and many more.



For the third season Wei Consulting launched a social media promotion for the British Fashion Council’s London Fashion Weekend. The campaign outperformed many UK leading fashion publications in ticket sales and secured the client for a fourth campaign in September.

Not only does MINT EDITION magazine secure Chinese film star Yang Mi for its Spring 2015 cover, but Wei Consulting secured a representation deal with the actress and is now negotiating European brand partnerships on her behalf.




Media auditing firm BPA Worldwide granted MINT EDITION magazine its very first media audit, thus making MINT EDITION Europe’s only Chinese media brand to have both its reach and readership externally verified. Giving brands the confidence in its ability to reach over 115,000 readers across print, digital and social.

After working with the brand for over a year, Aspinal of London’s Chinese market share has grown exponentially thanks to Wei Consulting’s contributions that include securing a multi-page fashion spread in ELLE China, launch of social media platforms that gained over 4,000 followers in just under a month.

Initiated in March 2015 and revealed in June 2015, Wei Consulting published the 3,000+ respondent findings of the very first UK Chinese Consumer Research Survey to an audience of industry leaders at the China-Britain Business Council and obtained significant press coverage with the Telegraph, South China Morning Post and the BBC.

Following the release of the Summer 2015 issue of MINT EDITION featuring Chinese superstar Li Bing Bing, MINT EDITION launched is first standalone digital app. The app now allows international readers to obtain a copy of the magazine and in a short space of time has garnered over 1,600 active subscribers.

Google Campus London invited Wei Consulting to present to over 120 people on the “Chinese Digital Landscape”. How it is evolving and what factors Western businesses should be aware of.

To help British businesses with their China market entry, Wei Consulting was invited to join the UK government’s prestigious E-Advisor Bank ran by UK Trade & Investment.



The Autumn 2015 Issue of MINT EDITION secured one of its biggest celebrity covers to date, with the first international interview of Chinese popstar Kris Wu who was hot off the back of a sell-out Vogue China fashion shoot spread with Kendal Jenner.

As part of Coach’s marketing strategy in the UK. Wei Consulting was tasked to promote the brand’s image and products across various social engagement campaigns that culminated in a New York themed Bond Street store event which saw 90 of London’s most fashionable Chinese consumers mingle alongside the brand team to learn more about Coach’s new products and post live onto social media.

For the 10th anniversary of De Beers’ Talisman Collection, Wei Consulting organised an influencer event at the brand’s Bond Street boutique where nearly 40 Chinese media, bloggers and VIP guests attended to learn more about the collection first hand from head designer Hollie Bonneville-Barden. The event resulted in significant print, digital and social media coverage for the collection and brand in both UK and China based media.
