chinese-new-year-2015-card-with-goat-wallpaper1.jpgMost luxury brands expected the Christmas sale and Chinese New Year to be the main driver of sales from the Chinese consumer in 2014/15. The real powerhouse, however, ‘Chinese Singles day’ went largely unnoticed by all but a few marketing savvy brands. Singles day 2014 became the largest online shopping day in the world, generating a US$5.8 billion sales record in Alibaba’s sites Tmall and Taobao in 2015. In part due to different culture backgrounds and diverse perception between East and West, as well as the diversification of consumption in China, brands have found it increasingly hard to identify the best times to engage with the Chinese consumer.

To make planning your Chinese marketing strategies easier, the team here at Wei-UK have developed a calendar of the TOP 10 CHINESE CONSUMER FESTIVALS from June 2015 to February 2016. This calendar will prove vital in giving an insight into the Chinese consumer mindset as well as allowing marketers to plan effective, timely Chinese marketing campaigns with strong ROI.
